Some of my favorite native plants:
Below, Jamaica Caper, subtly scented, vase shaped tree, great hedge plant, back border or feature plant with showy leaves and flowers.

Below Fiddlewood Tree and Bloom. Can be grown as a large shrub or small tree. Makes a great hedge or back border plant. Flowers are scented and bloom is scented. Butterflies love this flower.

Below: Yellow Edler, great as a large shrub or small tree. The yellow blooms have a subtle scent and bloom wildly fall and winter and early spring. Brittle branches make it a good candidate for close to the house or in a protected environment. It requires regular annual pruning to look its best.

Below is native Sunshine Mimosa, a wonderful ground cover which can be used in place of grass.

Below, Rain Lilly, considered endangered, native throughout the southeast U.S. Love this plant alone or planted throughout the ground cover. Blooms in great during our rainy season.

Below, trouble free Encyclia orchids grow attached to the side of a tree in the garden.

Below, another easy care native, Spider Lilly, has lovely scented showy flowers.

Below, native Muhly grass has a lovely colorful ornamental bloom.

Below, Coontie, will bring a host of native Atala butterflies to your garden during their season.

Photo below - Rouge plant, a wonderful trouble free small growing subshrub for shade or sun. Great for native landscapes and naturescape type plantings.

Photo below - another fine native subshrub - Scorpion Tail.
