Photo below: In this wonderful naturescape landscape, the swale has been replaced with natives and drought tolerant plants. Native Railroad Vine is used for ground cover. Native Seat Oats, Sea Lavendar are planted with Iris and Coast Rosemary. Rather than St Augustine, Zoysia has been used for the abbreviated lawn.

Photo Below: This lush condo landscape boasts native Ipomea pes-capris ground cover instead of grass. Notice the contrast between the barren looking landscape with severely trimmed hedge and grass at the condos across the street and the one close planted with drought tolerant plants and ground covers in leu of  grass. The condo has no sprinkler system. After initial hand watering to get the landscape established, the landscape exists on natural rainfall and is lush and beautiful.

Photo Below: This planting uses Native Mimosa and mulch as ground covers rather than grass.

Photo Below: Drought tolerant plants serve as a natural lush green naturescape. Notice the difference in the color and green between plantings at the condo on the right and the landscape of yellowing grass at the neighboring condo on the left.
